Not happy with your weight? Your diet? Or just your overall health? Sahand Rostami is YOUR GUY!!! A co-worker referred me to Sahand after I expressed how unhappy I was with the recent weight I gained and how unhealthy I felt day after day. After 6 months of complaining, feeling sorry for myself, and feeling depressed I woke up one day and took my co workers advice and called Sahand….
He uses this knowledge and skill in a holistic approach to developing and customizing a routine that continually meets me where I am in terms of my health and fitness at any point in time and then constantly moves me towards my goals...
When I first started working with Sahand, I was restricted with what activities I could do given a long-standing knee injury. My goal was to build muscle and expand my fitness routine without aggravating my knee. I did not have high hopes as I had already been through 3 different physical therapists with disappointing results, despite my following the exercises to the letter…
When I had signed up with Sahand, I was about 5 months out from my wedding in November, which is always a good way to motivate one to get their ass in shape! Sahand is easy to talk to, and makes workouts fun and interesting…
My journey into movement and performance started with a personal transformation. As an overweight teenager with poor eating habits, I made the decision at 16 to change my life—losing over 40 pounds and discovering a passion for health and human movement. That experience sparked a fire that would shape the course of my career.
While I originally pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering, drawn to analytical thinking and problem-solving, something unexpected happened during my time in school: I found a deep passion for personal training and manual therapy. I realized the human body is the most dynamic and complex machine of all—and I was determined to understand how to restore, optimize, and fine-tune its performance.
Blending my engineering mindset with advanced study in biomechanics, motor control, and movement assessment, I developed a precision-based, problem-solving approach to resolving pain and enhancing movement. That’s when The Movement Engineer was born.
Whether you’re dealing with pain, recovering from injury, or working toward peak performance, my mission is to help you move better, feel better, and unlock your full potential. I approach the body the way an engineer approaches a complex system—by identifying root causes and building long-term solutions.

I’ve worked with athletes, professionals, and everyday movers who want to train smarter, overcome pain, and build strong, resilient bodies. My own background in martial arts and collegiate track & field (400m & 4x400m relay) gives me a deep understanding of movement under pressure.
